Patriot Fiber Optic Modem (PFOM)
LIT designed a replacement for the Fiber Optic Communication Systems for Patriot ECS to Launcher communication. LIT’s solution is half the cost of competing systems. The LIT PFOM is modular with all electronic hardware replaceable from the panel (including switches and cables). LIT pioneered the PFOM concept and produced the Top Level System design. LIT produced proof of concept (POC) units in 90 days for customer evaluation. POC units included complete fiber optic system, launcher and ECS interfaces, and prototype microprocessor control.
